Bhutan, the land of the peaceful dragon: (9 nights & 10 days)

DAY 01 Paro (arrival) to Thimphu
Arrives in Paro by Druk Air flights, greetings by guides. Then visit Ta dzong (National Museum), Paro Rinpung dzong. After lunch drive to Thimphu, the capital. Overnight in Thimphu.

Today you will explore Thimphu valley, the list of sightseeing are visiting Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Changangkha Lhakhang, Insitute of arts & crafts, National Library, Mini zoo, Zilukha Nunnery, Institute of Traditional medicines, Textile museum, and Trashichoe dzong. Overnight in Thimphu.

DAY 03 Thimphu to Trongsa
Today after breakfast you will drive to Trongsa, the central Bhutan. En-route you will cross Dochula pass (3116m), Wangdue and Pele la pass(3390m). overnight in Trongsa.

DAY 04 Trongsa to Bumthang
In the morning after breakfast visit Trongsa dzong, built in 1648 and the ancestral home of Royal families. Then later visit Ta dzong (Heritage museum) and drive to Bumthang. Overnight in Bumthang.

DAY 05 Bumthang
This beautiful valley is home to some of the oldest temples and monasteries. It offers you hiking opportunities to the many temples in the valley. The sightseeing is; Jakar dzong built in 1549, Jambay Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built by Tibetan king Songtsen Goempo, kurjey Lhakhang a temple dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava who have said to meditated here in 8th century. Tamshing lhakhang,built by Terton pema lingpa in 1501 the ancestor of Royal families, kencho sum lhakhang and the Me bar tsho ( the burning lake). Overnight in Bumthang.

DAY 06 Bumthang to Gangtey Goemba/ Phobjikha valley
Today after breakfast you will drive to Phobjikha valley in wangdue. The valley is known as the winter home of endangered birds the black necked cranes which migrates from Tibetan plateau in winter to escape the harsh winter. These birds can be seen from early November to end of March. Overlooking the valley is the Gangtey goemba that dates back to the 17th century. Overnight in Phobjikha valley.

DAY 07 Gangtey Goemba/Phobjikha Valley to Punakha
Today you will explore the valley and visit Gangtey Goemba temple, then you will drive towards Punakha valley. Then after lunch visit Punakha dzong built in 1637, and the former capital of Bhutan until 1955. which is located in between two rivers – pho chu and mo chu, and Chimi Lhakhang the temple of fertility dedicated to the Devine madman Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Overnight in Punakha.

DAY 08 Punakha to Paro
Drive back to Paro and en-route visit Semtokha dzong the first dzong of Bhutan built in 1629. Then in paro visit Drugyel dzong (ruin), and kyichu lhakhang one of 108 temples built by Songtsen Goenpo (Tibetan king). Overnight in Paro.

DAY 09 Paro (Excursion to the Tiger’s nest temple)
Today you will do a day excursion to the Tiger’snest, the hightlights of the tour; it is one of the most sacred places in Bhutan that is perched on the side of a cliff at the height of 900m above paro valley. The hike up will take about 3 - 4 hours. Later rests of the day walk around the Paro town and take rest.overnight in Paro.

DAY 10 Paro (Depart)
After breakfast you will drive to the Air port to catch a flight to start your onward destinations.
